Overview
In Picnic Peril, players face two key objectives: defending against invading ants and earning points. Each turn, players draw three ingredients and must carefully decide which food characters to craft and where to place them on the grid. These food characters can be used for either defense or scoring, requiring players to strike a balance between protecting their picnic and maximizing points. Effective resource management is crucial as players determine the best way to use their ingredients throughout the game.
The game was inspired by a board game I designed, driven by my interest in exploring how randomness impacts gameplay and the potential for creating a non-violent, turn-based strategy game with puzzle elements.
